Now is a great time to look forward to a new year of opportunities and some of the challenges that may lie ahead, and is a great time to reflect on how you see your career progressing and the support and development you may need during 2017. FREE Training & Development
We have a number of bursaries available through the Education and Training Foundation. You can claim up to £250 for ANY training or development opportunity offered by the Education and Training Foundation, you can also use your bursary to fund travel, accommodation or childcare. Professional Women’s Residential: Not just for Kids!
Remember when nobody needed you; you weren’t a boss, a partner, a mother? You didn’t have to be somewhere/anywhere for anyone? Join us to unlock the child inside – it’s still there, even if it’s just for the weekend!Not Just for Kids supports professional women to thrive not survive whilst balancing careers and families. It is a professional women’s sleepover in a beautiful setting. Are you considering starting or extending your family?
As a sector Further Education employs a huge number of women and therefore the right support during the maternity period is critical for employees and employers alike. WOMBA provide a supportive maternity coaching programme “Transitions” that focuses on helping new parents transition in and out of the workplace. Women from several multinational companies have already completed the programme. The aim of the programme is help women and their employers during this potentially challenging but also fulfilling time. Institute of Apprenticeships Consultation
The long awaited consultation on establishing the Institute of Apprenticeships has been launched with a closing date of 31 st January 2017. The Government has set out a programme of reform to raise the quality and quantity of apprenticeships. To underpin these reforms, the Institute for Apprenticeships will be established as an independent body to act as the guarantor of the integrity of the apprenticeships system, with a mandate to assure quality and provide objective advice on future funding for apprenticeship training.
